75 billion new year messages had sent!

Whatsapp announced the number of messages sent to friends on New Year day. That’s over 2,000 crore messages just only in one day. The company said in a statement that it had sent 75 billion (7500 crore) messages through Whatsapp, worldwide on December 31 as part of the New Year’s Eve. There are more than 13 billion photos and more than 5 billion videos. In India, 2 billion (2,000 crore) messages were sent. Whatsapp said all these messages were between 12 o’clock and 11.59 o’clock midnight. Whatsapp was interrupted on the day that all messages were sent. Whatsapp stumbled over an hour between the midnight of December 31 and the early morning of January 1. The company then said that it worked again. Whatsapp has over 1 billion users worldwide, with over 200 million users in India.
