NEW DELHI: Mobile phone numbers and bank accounts are expected to be completed by the end of this month. People have already linked Aadhaar with 80 per cent of bank accounts and 60 per cent of the phone numbers, according to the Indian Identity Authority of India (UADAI).
The central bank has expired on March 31, 2018 to link each bank account with a 12-digit Aadhaar number to calculate the unearned amount of money. Similarly, the PAN number should also be linked to Aadhar. A total of 87 crore accounts have been linked to Aadhaar account for 109.9 crore bank accounts, the official said.
